A non-shared hosting is a hosting which one does not share with the server that he is on. Sites which provide web hosting also offer dedicated server and co-location solutions. Small and medium sized business people avail this facility of non-shared web hosting services. Generally, companies seek help when they want an expertise in web hosting. Even for multiple and single servers co-location, having a non-shared hosting plays an important role. A host gives a person maximum time, responsive approach, proficient support in the technical part and lastly a server which runs fast.
When companies don’t want their reviews to be viewed to the general public, they tend to go for non-shared hosting reviews. Normally such hosting comes in 3 parts. They are Managed, Dedicated Server, and Co-location.
A managed hosting means an account hosted on a server or servers. The Host takes care of all the important technical details of the account. However It has been seen and observed that such hostings are expensive and includes monthly bills.
A Dedicated Server means a Hosting when a person does all the Central Processing unit maintenance work thus renting a server from a Host. In doing so, there is minimum support. These types of servers are mainly for experienced power users.
A co-location Hosting means one builds the server and installs the software himself. He then delivers his server to the Host. Then it gets hooked to the network and the power grid. In doing so the person is actually paying for the network. Even for the facilities and the power. Even if the monthly costs are less the cost might be more.

When leasing space on a shared server, you are essentially purchasing what is known as managed hosting. This simply means that the hosting company manages everything required to provide an online presence for your website. They maintain the server and networking equipment you upload content to, all of the software for email accounts and web building, the internet backbone connection, upgrades, data backups and more. After signing up, all you really have to do is create your web pages, set up emails and advertise your site to the world.
Shared hosting is the most popular choice for new webmasters and tends to be the most affordable as well. Dedicated hosting is an alternative that involves a dedicated server. Similar to shared hosting, you lease the server which is owned and maintained by a provider. They handle all of the infrastructure details such as network and internet connectivity, data backups and general maintenance. In this case however, the entire server is dedicated solely for your use. Usually, the software on a dedicated server is designed in a manner that allows you to host multiple websites. With a dedicated server, you essentially have a control over the server itself including how it functions, which is the exact contrary to shared hosting. There are distinct variations between shared and dedicated hosting with offerings known as virtual dedicated, reseller shared hosting and so forth – all of which are just different forms of managed hosting.

Data access and communications are essential to any businesses. All aspects of the operation from the email service and website to network routers and servers must be protected in order for the business to stay up and running. When these tasks can no longer be handled in-house, many businesses turn to colocation hosting. Before choosing a provider, there are a few things you need to know about this service.
Redundant Systems
A colocation facility cannot run efficiently without multiple redundant systems. Every point of the operation requires sufficient capacity from the equipment to climate control systems. Some companies will utilize multiple data centers to handle capacity, although it doesn’t equate to redundancy. A provider maintaining more than one unit should run them both at less than 50% capacity. By doing this, the other facility will be able to handle the load if one fails. If three units are operating, they should be run at no more than 66% capacity.
Efficient Climate Control
When making the move to colocation hosting, you should know that the actual design of the facility has a huge impact on the overall performance of the housed systems. Rooms that maintain servers and other equipment should control the air flow in between each row. As the heat generated by the machines blow from one row, cooler air should be drawn toward them from another. This hot-cold row system enables the air to circulate while keeping the servers from overheating.

The internet is thriving like never before and web hosting is the driving force behind it. The industry began in 1991, much different than we know it today. However, there has always been a close association with the World Wide Web which came onto the scene around the same time. With E-commerce, entertainment and a plethora of opportunities, one could say that the internet and web hosting are two of the greatest technical innovations of all time.
The internet, the World Wide Web and electronic mail helped to start the revolution, encouraging commercial possibilities and a means for people to host their own web pages. This revolution is more aptly termed as E-commerce. In the beginning, web pages were mainly limited to computer experts, universities and government agencies. As time progressed, other opportunities were presented. As several businesses realized the potential in web hosting, companies were formed, providing people with a way to sell their products on the internet and serve them via the World Wide Web.
Once web hosting became increasingly popular, it was much easier for the average consumer to have their own domain name and web pages. The structure of web hosting has evolved significantly, going from dull static pages to dynamic creations that scream for interaction. There was more complexity involved in hosting a website back then, but those who adapted to the technical aspects were able to take advantage and reap the benefits.
